10,000


They've been in existence since 1876. After all these years, the Loveable Losers finally reached 10,000 wins. Shouldn't this have happened about twenty years ago? I did some digging and on this most famous day celebrating Lee Elia:

First 70 years:
Winning percentage .560
50 seasons above .500

Last 62 years:
Winning percentage .468
18 seasons above .500 (wa..wa...what?!)

Since World War II, the Cubs have won more games than they lost in a season just 29% of the time? But that's ok. They have all those attendance trophies!
