I suppose that's better than a number 1 who has won 13/15/13 over the last three years with an ERA ranging from 3.6 up to the 5's over the last three years.

I assume you are not referring to the #1 ace on the Loveable Loser's #1 rival, my World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, Chris Carpenter? L. Loser fans certainly are not obsessed with the other team in the city as so many of them profess, are they?

"Carp" has had these number in the stats referenced in my post:
ERA
2004-3.46
2005-2.83
2006-3.09

WHIP
2004-1.14
2005-1.06
2006-1.07

COMPLETE GAMES
2004-1
2005-7
2006-5

WINS
2004-15
2005-21
2006-15 (NL leader had 16-yikes.)

DAY-GAMES ERA
2004-3.00
2005-3.72
2006-2.40

Now THAT is #1 stuff.

Nope referring to the South Side Ball Club. I am unfortunately a Cub fan, but I'm not a Sox hater. I was more than happy when they won the series...why should everybody in Chicago have to suffer.
