Sugar Bowl: Notre Dame against Florida - Not only are the Notre Dame Fighting Irish out of the national championship hunt, they're not even expected to give the upstart Florida Gators much of a tussle in the Sugar Bowl. Lack of defense has been the Irish's undoing this year. They haven't stopped anyone in weeks, which doesn't augur well against the pass-happy Gators, who beat all but one of the six bowl teams they faced during the season. Prediction: Florida to win by nine (the Gators are a 6-point pick)

LSU is second in the nation in total defense, giving up 238.8 yards per game, and fourth in the country with 12.5 points allowed per contest.
