Cheerios

This is from the 1992 Sugar Bowl - sound familiar?

Sugar Bowl: Notre Dame against Florida - Not only are the Notre Dame Fighting Irish out of the national championship hunt, they're not even expected to give the upstart Florida Gators much of a tussle in the Sugar Bowl. Lack of defense has been the Irish's undoing this year. They haven't stopped anyone in weeks, which doesn't augur well against the pass-happy Gators, who beat all but one of the six bowl teams they faced during the season. Prediction: Florida to win by nine (the Gators are a 6-point pick)
More: Keys to the game: Notre Dame, No. 11 in total offense (455.6 ypg); Florida No. 9 in total offense (457.1) Gators have considerable edge on defense, ranking No. 13 in scoring defense (13.8 ppg), No. 20 in total defense (307.6 ypg).

Now the 2007 Sugar Bowl Numbers: Notre Dame averaged 398.0 yards of offense and 32.4 points a game. LSU finished 10th in the country in scoring with 33.1 points per game. LSU is second in the nation in total defense, giving up 238.8 yards per game, and fourth in the country with 12.5 points allowed per contest.

Pretty close from '92, huh? Bring it!

We can only hope ND gets it ass kicked.
